A nurse by background, Daniel built his career at the operational and governance edge of healthcare, holding director level roles across clinical, operational, and corporate governance functions in some of the most demanding environments the sector offers. His career has taken him into executive leadership, regulatory recovery, international policy, and corporate governance across NHS, independent, and voluntary sector organisations.
He has led CQC turnarounds, supported healthcare businesses to grow, develop and launch new services, designed governance frameworks from the ground up, and worked internationally with the World Health Organisation. He was awarded the title of Queen's Nurse and is currently completing a Professional Doctorate with a focus on healthcare regulation.
His areas of specialism include governance and assurance, patient safety, operational recovery, regulatory compliance, and supporting organisations to build and scale sustainable healthcare services.
Daniel is drawn to organisations under scrutiny and to those that simply want to deliver the best possible service. His view of governance is straightforward: it is about doing the right thing when nobody is looking, and building the structures that make that consistent. Outrider Advisory exists to be that trusted ally, helping organisations navigate the complexity of healthcare regulation with confidence.

James has practised as a dentist across NHS and private settings for over 16 years, developing a career that sits equally across clinical practice, regulation, and commercial healthcare development.
He sits on Fitness to Practice committees for the General Dental Council, giving him an unusually direct understanding of how professional regulators assess standards, handle concerns, and expect organisations to govern themselves. That perspective is rare. Most advisers understand regulation from the outside. James has seen it from the inside.
His clinical background gives him something that governance frameworks alone cannot provide: a practitioner's instinct for where the real risks lie, and what good care actually looks like in practice. He brings that to every engagement, whether that is supporting a provider through regulatory scrutiny or helping a new service get its foundations right from the start..
Finance PartnerGrace Jackson
Grace has spent much of her career working with growing healthcare businesses, from pharma and medtech startups through to established private practices, helping them build the financial foundations to grow with confidence.
Through her accountancy firm, Mad Spaniel, she acts as accountant and finance partner to practices and healthcare companies across the sector. Her fractional CFO work spans biotech, healthtech, and digital healthcare scaleups, where she works directly with founders and clinical leaders.
She understands the particular financial pressures of healthcare: regulated environments, complex funding models, and the constant balance between clinical quality and commercial sustainability. Her role is to give healthcare leaders the financial clarity to make the right decisions at the right time.
Grace became the youngest person in the world to qualify as a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), has raised over £100 million in debt and equity funding, and led the finance workstream of an acquisition into a Brookfield portfolio company at a combined valuation of around $1 billion.
Her areas of specialism include financial strategy, fundraising, financial modelling, and building and scaling finance functions.
Grace works with healthcare leaders who need more than a good accountant. She brings the financial rigour and strategic clarity to turn good clinical services into sustainable businesses.
